About the event

Open Water Series Clinic 2: Drafting & Race Strategy

Learn how to navigate the pack, draft efficiently, and make race-day decisions that give you a competitive edge.

Racing in open water isn’t just about fitness—it’s about strategy. This clinic focuses on pack dynamics, positioning, and tactical decision-making to help you swim smarter, not just harder. Coaches will lead you through drafting techniques, situational awareness drills, and structured race simulations so you can feel what it’s like to swim in close proximity and stay in control.

Drafting is one of the most effective tools in open water—if you know how to use it. Proper pack positioning can help conserve energy, set up your finish, and keep you mentally one step ahead. This session is all about turning unpredictable race scenarios into opportunities you’re prepared for.
