Intro to Swim Coach- Job Description
At SwimX, we provide a fun, supportive coaching environment where teamwork, communication, and a love of teaching are key. Our Intro to Swim Coaches play a vital role in helping young swimmers build confidence, develop comfort in the water, and establish the technical foundation that sets them up for long-term success.

Role Description

Part-time hours with flexible scheduling

Teach foundational swimming skills and technique, progressing swimmers from beginner basics to all four strokes

Provide detailed feedback and support in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment

Requirements

Swimming background (competitive, lifeguard/NCCP training, technical knowledge, or coaching experience)

CPR/First Aid certified

Minimum age: 16+

Patient, enthusiastic, passionate about swimming and eager to learn

At SwimX, we believe in developing our coaches just as much as our swimmers.
We’ll help you refine your ability to break down strokes, identify key technical improvements, and build a toolkit of strategies for stroke correction, but we don’t stop there. Every coach receives training and ongoing learning opportunities, whether that’s working alongside Olympians and senior coaches, taking on leadership roles, or assisting with sessions to learn from others’ experience. We are constantly evolving with the sport, and our goal is to ensure our staff are growing in confidence, knowledge, and leadership just as much as the athletes they coach.
